The IWW is a union for all workers — One Big Union!
Join the NYC General Membership Branch today!

As long as you are a worker – not an employer – you can join the IWW. Members of other unions (except officers), students, retirees, the unemployed, the self-employed, those in informal professions, and those unable to work may also join. Learn why you should join the IWW.

Having trouble at work? Want to organize with your coworkers against your boss? Contact the IWW today and meet with experienced IWW organizers, attend an organizer training, and, with the mentorship and guidance of other Wobblies, build a union with your fellow workers at your job and in your industry. Get in touch with us by emailing [email protected]. Read Weakening the Dam to get a short primer on what an organzing campaign with the IWW could look like.

The next orientation for new members will be on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Details ▸

We ask that that new members attend an orientation before attending branch meetings to become familiar with the structure of the branch and meeting procedure. Orientations are also great opportunities for people who are interested in the IWW to learn more about the union. View upcoming orientations on our events page.

IWW NYC General Membership Branch meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month from 7 to 9 PM.
